Projects and Programs

Christmas is Sharing
During the Christmas holiday, the CCCAC coordinates the "adoption" of children from families of Camden County. Individuals, community groups, churches, and businesses adopt these children and provide them with food baskets, gifts and clothing. The CCCAC provides the same for children in families where adoption isn't available.

Foster Child Christmas
Christmas gifts are given to all children in the Childrens' Division Foster Care Program of Camden County

Back to School Fair
The CCCAC is responsible for the Back to School Fair. The fair is held each August and is for children of families with limited financial resources who are in need of backpacks and/or school supplies to start off the new school year. The CCCAC also provides a $10 Walmart voucher for socks and underwear to school-aged children when accompanied by a parent attending the fair.

Emergency Dental for Children
With the help of a local dentist, emergency dental services are provided for children of families with limited financial resources

Lice Treatment Program
Non-toxic lice shampoo treatment kits are provided through the county school nurses to children of families with limited financial resources

Scholarship Fund
The CCCAC awards ten $500 scholarships to graduating seniors from the Camdenton R-III school district and several other Camden County high schools

Misc Grants
In addition to the programs here, the CCCAC also provides miscellaneous grants to individual children in need.
